Hi, I’m allison berl (she/her/hers).
My work focuses on helping clients create deeper understanding and connection to their mind and body in order to start feeling safe, healthy and in the driver seat of their own lives. I believe that when we create awareness and understanding of how things operate, we create the opportunity for flexibility and choice in how we perceive and react to situations.
I help clients improve their mental health and coping skills by drawing on my training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
I work from an Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and Mindfulness lens, which helps clients to understand the connection between past experiences and how our brain, nervous system, and body help us navigate our daily life in the present.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Portland, Oregon. I received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Oregon State University.
